Hi! Thanks for taking the time to drop by and read my little blog. My name is Gina and I'm based in Manila, Philippines. My work involves raising funds for underprivileged children through direct mail and digital fundraising. It's the best job in the world, and I consider myself lucky.

One of the things I really love is travel. I am obsessed with traveling to new places all over the world by myself. I save constantly as I plan my yearly trips to far-flung places. As they say, once you get the travel itch, the itching never stops.

I also love to run, box, and do Bikram yoga and Pilates. You might think I'm all sporty and such, but I'm not. The only reason I keep myself decently fit and healthy is just so I never have to diet. EVER.

What does the 'Kick Galvanic' mean anyway? And what's this blog all about?

This blog was largely inspired by that phrase 'the kick galvanic' in A.S. Byatt's Booker Prize-winning novel Possession. While 'the kick' which the book refers to is all about the electrical sensation of love, MY definition of 'the kick galvanic' means something else.

Anything that inspires me, that throws me into action, that pushes me to go further--well, that's my kick galvanic.

This blog attempts to list down all those things, those small moments that serve as a never-ending series of 'kicks' that remind me I'm alive and happy in this world.
